Glutathione & Your Training

Greetings, team!  I am partnering up with BioDose Pharma, the makers of GlutaDose, in order to help bring attention to the benefits of Glutathione and how it can improve your health and fitness.

Glutathione is a true antioxidant that naturally occurs within all humans, as well as in many flora and fauna. Its functions include the prevention of cellular damage from free radicals, rebuilding damaged tissue, and maintaining the body’s immune system to fight various kinds of poisoning.

The two factors I am most interested in, of course, its role in fighting free radicals. and how its role in tissue repair can help us in the gym.

The term “antioxidant” gets thrown around often by brands these days, so it’s good to understand what that term actually means. You may see it on labels for all kinds of products, and it’s important to make sure that it’s not just being used as a buzzword.

Glutathione is a tripeptide composed of three amino acids (cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine). Glutathione is a free-radical scavenger and a detoxifying agent transforming free-radicals into harmless inactive compounds.

It also plays a large role in the uptake of amino acids, found within the proteins of our diet.

Glutathione has shown to be effective when taken intravenously for anemia, by preventing kidney problems as heart bypass surgery. It has also been used to treat those suffering from Parkinson’s disease, as well as improving blood flow for individuals suffering from diabetes and the hardening of the arteries that occurs from atherosclerosis.

What does all of that mean for your training? It means that Glutathione can assist in maintaining a healthy immune system, slow down the signs of aging, and repair your body at the cellular level.

When Glutathione is taken orally, its uptake works most effectively when bonded with Vitamin C and Zinc: two compounds that BioDose Pharma has added to each daily application of GlutaDose. By taking Glutadose every day, you can help take the necessary steps to improving your immune system, increase the repair speed of damaged cellular tissue, and improve overall muscle and organ functions.

GlutaDose is made by BioDose Pharma here in the USA, and you can check out more info on it right on their website:
